This is a shorter auction of 100 lots to be held on the last day of the Worthing weekend meeting.

 

 

 

 

 

I have a selection of collections which a room auction allows a more detailed investigation before bidding. Key items include Czech Forces in Great Britain, in Siberia, Bohemia and Moravia, First Republic airmails and Austro-Hungarian revenues

Others very neat corner cancels) perf and imperf basic set on stockcard (one 50 h imperf only at top), another stockcard with lion with and without values overprinted (catalogued CZK 4400) with one over inked, one lightly inked one almost albino and one green and magenta and finally five larger (46 x 27 mm) soldier trials in five different colours (each catalogued CZK 1500)

Czech Forces in Great Britain in WW2. This lot just got better looking through it. Starts with six French items, including one well travelled cover, then 80 covers and large pieces with a comprehensive coverage of these issues in Great Britain. Note  souvenir for  Manchester concert, cover with Togo stamp tied (undoubtedly philatelic), registered and censored covers. The last four pages show 17 KG VI definitives to 10/-with four different cancels on each, but there is water damage on the lowest value and cancel of each, otherwise very fine

First Republic Airmails. Over 70 covers with a range of destinations and rates to explore. Note First Flights for Praha Bruxelles on Sabena, Praha - Liberec - Jablonec nad Nisou and  Praha - Cluj - Moscow. Note destinations such as Tanganyika, Buenos Aires (one stamp removed, so no idea of rate used) and Columbia with typed "Via SS NORMANDIE via Cherbourg", but manuscript Le Havre with airmail label via PAA and SCADTA. Finally note interesting labels on reverse of a set from Moravska Ostrava showing Jan Svat Presl, Otak Brezina and Joz Mir Hurban. Those six that I can see in specialist catalogue rated at 1700 points, which I make over £200. Generally good condition with the odd crease and foxing
